Last updated 3 March. Quillfern is an invented app and these are invented terms, written only to show how this reading works.

By creating an account or using the Quillfern app ("the App") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.

Quillfern Plus starts with a 14-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 7 days before the trial ends, your trial converts automatically into a 12-month subscription, billed in full on the day the trial ends. Your subscription then renews for another 12 months each year. You can cancel in Settings at any time; cancelling stops the next renewal.

Current prices are shown in the App and in the Fee Schedule. We may change our fees at any time by posting the new fees in the App.

You keep ownership of the photos you upload ("Plant Photos"). You grant Quillfern a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, copy, adapt and publish your Plant Photos for any purpose, including advertising.

We collect your email address, the plants you add, and your approximate location so we can give watering advice for local weather. We use service providers to host the App and send email, and they may only use your information to do that work. We may share your approximate location and plant list with selected partners for marketing. If you delete your account we delete your information within 30 days, except where we must keep it for our records.

Watering and care tips are general guidance. Quillfern is not responsible if a plant dies.

The App is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim.

Any dispute will be settled by binding arbitration, on an individual basis, and you give up any right to join a class action. These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where Quillfern Labs is registered.

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the App after that, you have accepted the change.
