Install a skill in your agent
Where the files go for each agent, and the one step people forget.
The problem
Each agent looks in a different folder, and a skill placed in the wrong one fails silently.
Where it goes
Claude Code reads ~/.claude/skills. Codex and Cursor read ~/.agents/skills. Antigravity reads ~/.gemini/config/skills. Each skill sits in its own folder, named after the skill.
How to install
Copy the install prompt from a skill page and paste it to your agent, run the command line tool, or download the ZIP and unpack it into the folder above.
Summary
Start a new session after installing. Agents usually scan for skills only at the start of a session.
