Founder Skills

Thirteen startup skills that remember what you told them, and say "Estimate" or "Not found" rather than make up a number.

We ran it once

The brief: Pricing for Tallybird, an invented invoicing tool for freelancers who bill by the hour. Known: 400 people on the mailing list, no paying customers. Assuming no competitors is not allowed.

It read the shared rules, searched three real competitor pricing pages (Harvest, FreshBooks, Bonsai), and wrote a six-part plan: flat subscription, Free/Solo $12/Studio $24 tiers, unit economics, psychology, and launch vs scale pricing, about 1,050 words. Every Tallybird price and cost is labelled Estimate.

What we thought: Does what the listing says: a usable, plain-spoken pricing sheet with sourced competitor prices and honest Estimate labels, and it refuses to assume an empty market. Useful to a founder as a first draft, but the prices themselves are guesses to test, not findings.

One run by an AI agent on 2026-11-02, at commit a194aaa. No person has judged it, and your result will differ.

Why it was picked

Its sample pricing strategy reads as if a sharp adviser wrote it and marks every estimate as an estimate. Skills share saved facts and are tested against inventing numbers.

Why it exists

Strategy advice from an agent is easy to believe and hard to check. These link outside facts to a source and mark the rest as estimates.

What you get

Scorecards, tables and plans saved to a folder that later skills read.

  3. Run the next skill it suggests. It reads what the earlier ones saved.

What it needs

Claude Code.

In short

Pick this when you are deciding what to build, what to charge and how to launch.

Worth knowing

The project ships sample output as text, not images, so no preview is shown. Its pitch deck skill writes an outline, not slides. SkillLift has not run these skills.
