We ran it once

The brief: A 6-slide talk titled "Why our town library stays open late", for a fictional town council meeting in the fictional town of Saltmere.

It produced a single self-contained 6-slide HTML deck on a fixed 1920x1080 stage with keyboard/touch nav and an edit mode, in a warm parchment, navy and solar-yellow editorial look. Slides: cover, one big stat, numbered list, bar chart, quote, closing ask.

What we thought: It does what the listing says: a nicely art-directed, animated, single-file deck is realistic from a brief, and the bold template gave a distinctive look rather than generic slides. Weak spots: it leans on remote fonts for its look, gives no way to check that text fits (I hit two overflows), and the long multi-step interview and preview process is heavy for a normal person who just wants six slides.

Why it was picked

You compare style previews and point at one, which suits anyone who cannot describe the look they want.

Why it exists

Most people cannot describe the look they want in words. This one shows options and lets you point.

What you get

One HTML file with inline CSS and JavaScript, fixed at 16:9.

How it works

  1. Add the plugin.
  2. Run it and describe your talk, or give it a .pptx.
  3. Pick from three style previews, then get the full deck.

What it needs

Nothing for the deck itself. Node.js only for optional PDF export or publishing.

In short

Pick this for a browser deck when you do not know yet what style you want.

Worth knowing

The project ships no preview images, so none are shown here. Its optional bold templates come from a separate template library whose licence we did not check, so SkillLift copies nothing from it.
